How to Navigate theAI Era: EmpoweringData EngineeringTeams for Success
Share:

To say generative artificial intelligence (genAI) has taken the main stage in the hearts and minds of professionals is an understatement. It’s certainly become central to technology conversations around how to do more with less, particularly as organizations still struggle with limited budgets, a shortage of skilled talent and the need to meet ever-changing customer expectations. There’s a temptation to cannonball into the deep end with genAI, hoping it will solve all our problems.

But it’s not that simple. As with any innovation, particularly those that skyrocket into popularity overnight, the promises are only part of the story. There’s always the other side of the coin around risks and consequences to consider. Plus, let’s not forget that we’re still working to realize the full value of AI and machine learning (ML), even though we already refer to it as “traditional AI.”

The introduction of AI has forced us to rethink our approach to work. It’s our unique ability to augment human intelligence with AI that creates the opportunity and step function for change. It’s not an “or” scenario.
